I started writing in 2008, when my last kiddo started kindergarten. I had some fun stories in my head, and it became an enjoyable hobby. I didn't publish my first novel until 2012, but by that time, I'd written eight full-length novels. I had no idea any of them would even be read, let alone get requests for more.
I love creating stories, characters, and experiences. I love planting my own experiences in my novels. I'm not the best at what I do, and I'm not the worst, but one thing I do know is the value of connecting with other people over books. These may be fictional worlds we immerse ourselves in, but there's a whole level of love and camaraderie between readers, and it's been such a privilege to come together because of words on pages.
If I'm not reading or writing, I do work another full-time job. My passion will always be writing novels, though. I may take a break now and then to reset, but there is always a story in my head.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, I love the outdoors. I love sports and music, and I will always have dog hair on my clothes. I love to travel and hope to start up again; I miss seeing readers and other authors at book events all over!
